How does adaptive equipment help kids with their development?
- Provides opportunities for environmental exploration and play with siblings and peers.
- Contributes to development of cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Can help with independence to explore age appropriate activity with peers.
- Common examples of adaptive equipments include positioning devices, seating systems, standers, toileting systems, bath chairs, transfer assistance equipment and gait trainers (walkers).
